Lake Wateree
Fish for crappie, bass, catfish, and bream in one of South Carolina's oldest man-made lakes. With more than 13,000 surface acres and 242 miles of shoreline, the lake is a year-round favorite of campers, fishermen, and recreational boaters. Campsites are available at Wateree Lake RV Park and Campground.
A temporary South Carolina fishing license is required for out-of-state visitors. Free public access is provided.

Lake Wateree State Park
The park's 238 acres features a lakeside campground, a nature trail, picnic area with playground equipment, a tackle shop/park store and a boat ramp. The park is home to many species of wildlife, which includes an abundance of whitetail deer, gray squirrels, raccoons, opossums and wild turkey. Bird species include egrets, blue heron, mallards and wood ducks. The parks' close proximity to I-77 is popular with campers, fishermen and other outdoor recreation enthusiasts.
