Paws-A-Thon
Paws-A-Thon is an annual Spring event, held in either April or May each year, with proceeds benefiting the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter. The event is held at the Kershaw-Cornwallis House on the grounds of Historic Camden Revolutionary War Site. The event begins with registration at 5 p.m. and attendees are able to register and walk their dogs along the historic walking paths on the property. The event features live music, cash bar, and beginning at 5:30 p.m. a Dog Show with awards going to various classes each year to include; Best Trick, Best Costume, Best In Show, Best Shelter Dog, etc.
Following the dog show, 6 p.m. kicks off the Chef Competition when members of the local community cook up their best dishes!
So bring out your four-legged friends and enjoy tons of food and fun and show your support for the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter.
Also, in the Fall of each year the shelter hosts Bengi Bingo to raise additional funds for the shelter.
